oarは櫂（オール）という意味です。
ボートを漕ぐ時に使うオールは推進力となるための頼りとなりますが、漕ぎ出て進む力がつけばそれらは不要となるかもしれません。
それでも漕ぎ出して漕ぎ続けるために、そして時に方向転換をする時に必要となるものです。
oar press（オール・プレス）は基本的にはオルタナティブで包括的な出版レーベルを目指し、作家にとっての発表の場を本という場所に設けることを再考します。
The oars used to row boats are essential helps to go forward.
Once the boats rowed out and join the stream, oars may seem unnecessary to them.
Even if so, they are indispensable to keep rowing and sometimes to change their directions.
oar press mainly works as an alternative independent publishing label based in Tokyo, creating artists books and supporting various art projects and peoples related to art. We reconsider to record / exhibit / enact the artists presentations on the books.
